How It Works

Puff screen printing creates a three-dimensional, raised texture by adding a puff additive to standard plastisol ink. When the printed ink passes through the curing dryer, the additive expands with heat, causing the design to rise off the garment with a soft, puffy, marshmallow-like texture.

Application

Puff ink is available in any Pantone-matched color and is commonly used to accent specific elements within a larger design — lettering, logos, or brand marks — rather than covering the entire print area. It’s the most affordable way to add dimensional effects to screen-printed apparel.

Visual Effect

Raised, 3D dimensional effect with soft, rounded edges. Adds visible depth and shadow to design elements. The texture is noticeably different from flat printing and creates instant visual interest.

• Cure Temp: 320–330°F (higher temp activates expansion)
